Recent Speaking Experiences
Representatives from various companies and organizations such as Patagonia, Reformation, Nike, Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Studio 189, IBM, The Current, BCG, iCash and Microsoft participated in different workshops and addressed topics. Summary of Event
One of the topics we addressed at the Transparency 2018 was how to create a low cost public key infrastructure that allows verification at each step of the supply chain process. Working together with the incredible Rosario Dawson, who has massive amounts of experience with supply chain traceability, we proposed a solution that uses programmatically generated DNA samples applied to cotton (the linens to track in the life cycle). Videos and pictures from event featuring Ling Qing Meng shown in H&M’s Official News Release.
The Transparency Hack was moderated by brand strategist Ana Andjelic and divided into two different sessions. Our future generation, represented by students from Yale University and USC, set a vision of the future fashion industry and how tech can enable transparency. Their vision was presented to industry leaders, who in turn came up with solutions on how to put the vision into reality.
In blockchain technology, Ling has years of experience developing entire applications as well as helping to build complete infrastructure from the ground up. He has participated in the Blockchain ecosystem as a developer, advisor, investor, and even as a writer for whitepapers. From Korea to Silicon Valley, Ling has influenced important blockchain projects across the globe.
Ling recently spoke at the Global Blockchain Forum where he was a panelist on the topic of Trust in the Token Economy. If you’re interested in hearing the discussion see this Link. After that, he was one of the primary speakers at ETH San Francisco where he delivered one of the best lectures of the entire conference: Live Demo
How to secure both votes and voter identity on-chain, went into excruciating detail on how-to do so correctly with the use of Zero Knowledge Proofs
Before blockchain, Ling worked in Ad-Tech at Branch Metrics in Palo Alto. He led a team that built the first market solution that could deeplink AMP-html articles to specific mobile app views. His implementation of a dynamic AMP HTML template gave customers unrivaled SEO rankings while retaining SDK integration. This allowed market segmentation analysis and greatly increased profits through upselling. Additionally, he has industry specific experience contracting in the supply chain space as well as performing source code audits in IP litigation.
With his position at iCash, Ling has become one of the most influential speakers in the entire blockchain space. Currently he has left iCash and has retained his position as CEO of Decentral.
